Frequently Asked Questions
I’ve heard of Sliding Scale, but what does Pay-What’s-Sustainable mean? I don’t understand what you mean by “session is valued at”, isn’t that just the price?
Just like Sliding Scale is intended to increase accessibility by removing financial barriers of participation, Pay-What’s-Sustainable goes a step further. Rather than classifying participants into tiers of what they can afford, Pay-What’s-Sustainable trusts that people know what their financial means are and that they will offer whatever is comfortable and affordable to them for the services for the value it brings to them. By stating that sessions are “valued at” a certain amount, that expresses that I believe in the value of my services and that I am worth that rate.
In addition, since there is not a set price, those with less financial means are not pressured to stretch beyond their means, and those with more financial means can use their privilege to support the access for less advantaged folx.
Just how accessible is the space?
The front entrance is the shortest distance from the parking lot, down a flight of 8 steps with a metal hand railing. The other access to the space is around the back side of the building where there is a gently sloped ramp (approximately 200ft distance from the parking lot). There is limited street parking right next to the side of the building which would be around 75ft from the door to All-In Fitness. The entrance to All-In Fitness is the third door on the left, opposite the white trellis. The outer screen door opens towards the outside and there is a solid door that opens inwards.
What safety precautions are you using mitigate COVID-19 risks?
We have a 4-stage HEPA + charcoal filtered air purifier running 24/7 capable of replacing all of the air every hour. All clients and coaches are expected to wear, at minimum, surgical masks (provided free as needed), KN95, or N95 quality masks at all times except while drinking in order to keep the whole space as safe as possible.
Do you have a restroom?
We do! From the front door, there is a clear path straight to the back area behind a curtain. To the left of the curtained entrance, there is a short counter with a sink, and a door that opens into the restroom. The curtained doorway is 34 inches wide, and the door to the restroom is 24 inches wide.
